The Piccadilly Service main office is located in Orihuela Costa on the Costa Blanca. with many commercial units available in the surrounding areas.
The Costa Blanca coastline runs from Denia in the North to Murcia in the south and stretches for approximately 140 kms. The coastline is a mixture of rugged cliffs, beautiful golden beaches and pretty coastal towns making this area popular with tourists looking for excitement, exploration and relaxation.
The World Health Organisation has proclaimed the Costa Blanca to be one of the healthiest climates in the world! The summers are warm and tolerable with very mild winters and over 300 days of sun per year!
The area is served by three airports, Alicante and Valencia to the north and Murcia to the south.
The cost of living in the Costa Blanca is generally lower than Northern Europe and the lifestyle is more relaxed. There are many bars, cafes and restaurants that cater for every palette; the world famous Valencian Paella is a must to try! It comes in a variety of forms, including meat, vegetables and of course, seafood due to the Mediterranean influence of the area, and is cooked in rice. Tapas, which are small snacks served in bars, are also very popular with both Spaniards and tourists alike.
Fiestas are held every week somewhere in Spain. Every town and village has a fiesta programme designed for the entertainment of it's citizens. One of the most important fiestas for Spaniards is the Semana Santa (Easter) or Holy Week, which is celebrated by nightly processions which have a sacred context by depicting the last hours of Jesus.
The May Fair has become an annual event in Torrevieja involving much dancing and singing to the early hours of the morning!
The 15th August is a national holiday that has a special significance in Elche. Words and music of a bygone era give an account of the death of the Virgin Mary and her assumption into Heaven.
Flamenco dancing is very popular with visitors to the area and you will find most towns and villages present Flamenco shows which are colourful, exciting and a great evening is enjoyed by all!
Spain has some very good and inexpensive markets which are held daily in the many villages and towns on the Costa Blanca. They are popular with both the Spaniards and holidaymakers alike where you can buy all fresh local produce (picked on the day of the market!), clothing, jewellery, shoes, leather goods etc.
